Here we are – Day 5 of the 10-day 2017 DFW Yarn Crawl, and there’s so much yet ahead…

Today I wanted to highlight a few of our faithful Destinations and a couple of new faces. Her first year with the Yarn Crawl, we welcome April Cordell of Fleece in Dallas, near the corner of Northwest Highway and Abrams Road. Fleece offers a bright and cheerful space with great yarns, a coffee bar, and a great class schedule. April moved her business to Dallas from Georgia, to be closer to her family, and we’re so glad she’s here!

During the Crawl, she has welcomed several of our Independent Artists, including Petra Breakstone and Trudy Fedorko. Petra has made quite a name for herself in the DFW area as a prolific designer of comfortable and dramatic wearables. She’s all over the internet, (and is featured in our DFW  Designers Collection, Volume 2) but start here to follow all her yarny-doings.

Trudy’s yarns have set her apart, with “nature inspired, eco-friendly” colors and fibers, sourced with the environment in mind. She’s also started designing for her yarns, and her patterns are available on Ravelry. Do check out her lovely dimensional, earthy yarns at Fleece on Wednesday, August 23rd.

Traveling west from there, our friend Linda at JenningStreet Yarns is host to lots of Yarn Crawl fun, with her usual wide selection of tasty yarns, discounts, games, prizes, and an extended visit by Stacey and Penny of Brazen Stitchery. Stacey and Linda both have great senses of humor, that come out brilliantly in their businesses, so do yourself a favor and make sure JenningStreet is on your Crawl agenda.
