The clock is ticking down and our yarn-fondling fingers are getting twitchy, am I right? The 2017 DFW Yarn Crawl is just days away now. Folks are mapping out their routes, both for maximum yarn exposure, but also for maximum Eventzee points gathering. There are serious prizes at stake!

The variety of fun to be had also boggles the mind.

Take Friday night (both of them). If you head to Farmersville, to the gobsmacking yarn expanse of Fiber Circle, you might fall in and not come out for hours. Which would be OK, because on Friday night, the shop is open till 2 AM! Diane has all kinds of activities planned, built around her theme of Fiber Jewelry, as well as a visual tour of different styles of stranded color work. Did I mention, there’ll be pizza! Jammies are fine with the dress code…

Turning westward, in Lewisville, David and Chele Harlass of Fiber Lady, have been spinning up some gorgeous yarns in exotic fiber blends and new color gradients. David is like a kid in a candy shop with his fibers and spinning machines, and he delights in showing them off for visitors! Be sure to ask for the tour when you stop in. On Saturday, August 19, Fiber Lady hosts local Indie Yarn Artist Lise Wilson of Knitting Rose. Lise will feature some exquisite bison yarns in blends with merino and silk! She’s also featuring some merino/cashmere/nylon fingering yarn for socks and shawls. Lise will also be taking measurements for handmade wooden sock forms!  I’m drooling a little just thinking about it.
