Hey there, Yarn Crawl friend! I wanted to check in quickly and give you some information about the next Yarn Crawl events coming up soon:
First, the Stitch Your Stash Celebration Picnic, brought to you by Ron and Theresa Miskin of the Buffalo Wool Company on July 30, from 3-7 PM. We’ll gather from all over the metroplex at the Old Town Pavilion in Coppell (768 W Main St Coppell TX 75019) for fun and games and food! BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR, and of course, a project to work on. If last year was any indication, it will be a zany fun time together! Also, BRING YOUR PASSPORT, which you can download for free on this site – CLICK HERE. BWC will stamp your passport and you’ll be on your way to getting enough stamps for the FREE Road Warrior T-shirt at the end of the crawl!
Then, on Saturday, August 5 at 10 AM, if you’re so inclined, you’re invited to join us at Jacob’s Reward Farm (4308 Church Lane, Parker, 75002) to stuff the amazing Swag Bags for this year. You’ll get to take yours home, as our thank you to you. Also, I think you deserve to take home a complete set of Shopkeeper Cards, as our gift as well! Anyone headed toward one of our Local Yarn Shops can help us by delivering that shop’s bags to them. We love Bag Stuffing Day!
Next, it’s Opening Day of the Crawl, August 18, and Stitch and Pitch with the Roughriders in Frisco! The game starts at 7:05 PM and our friends at McKnittey are bringing games and prizes of their own to distribute. You don’t want to miss this! Get your tickets in advance HERE.
*Yes, Kilts. Assistant Wrangler Victoria and I, along with a handful of yarny friends, are headed to Scotland this weekend for 11 days of wool, castles, tartans, whisky, kilts, rain, lochs, sheep, and heather-covered glens. This is a trip that has been two years in the making and we’re beside ourselves with glee. If you don’t mind, I’ll post some yarn-related photos while we’re abroad, so that we can share the Scottish love with you! And we’ll be back before you know it to get his Yarn Crawl show on the road! Slainte!
